Jack is soon bombarded with would-be superstars: Mrs. Claus colorfully pitches a holiday home decorating show, the wardrobe elves try to find a good fit for their Project Runway-type series, the kitchen elves bake up a great idea for a cooking show, and Santa’s reindeer are ready to take the reins for their own version of Dancing with the Stars.
Alas, nothing sparks Jack’s frosty cold attitude. Just when it seems like he’s struck out, Jack comes up with an idea sure to warm everyone’s hearts!

Show Description:
Jokes! Jokes! Jokes! It’s the classic situation. A young substitute teacher, Miss Quackenbush, turns up at the Little Red Schoolhouse and finds her class is comprised of the dumbest (and funniest) pupils found anywhere. The previous teacher had a nervous breakdown. No wonder! With things like mice in lunch boxes and a student with the measles, anything more will drive you crazy! Unless the likable but dim-bulbed pupils can pass a simple exam, they won’t advance to the next grade. The daffy answers they give to the questions are uproariously funny. Find out why the pupils don’t want to be ’promoted’ and why Miss Quackenbush has to find some way to get rid of them. The comedy is designed to accommodate any special casting needs. If you think the four basic food groups are ’fresh,’ ’frozen,’ ’fast,’ and ’junk,’ you belong in Laffin’ School!

Here’s a hilarious tongue-in-cheek retelling of classic Grimm fairy tales that feels fresh and contemporary! A working mother notices her daughter has picked up some not-so-great lessons from the fairy tales she’s been reading, so she sits her down and tells her new, more modern and empowering versions of some of the classics. In Mom’s new and improved variations, Little Red is an animal rights activist and vegetarian who saves the wolf from the Woodsman; Snow White unionizes the dwarves and overthrows her beauty pageant loving stepmother along with her assistant, Mir’ah; and Cinderella shares her love of angst-filled poetry with Charming and they run off together to live the lives of Bohemian artists.

Show Description:
Younger children will enjoy watching or performing this classic tale in which a queen puts her subjects to the test: who will move the large boulder from the road? Anyone kind enough to move the stone will be handsomely rewarded with a job as royal counselor to the queen! A host of wacky characters pass through the scene as the queen and her faithful servant, Barcarole, watch from a hiding place to see who will be unselfish. Certainly not Rigoletto, the pompous barber, who refuses to risk bruising his precious hands. Will the burglars do the job? Ha! More passers-by include the snobby Mrs. Brenzinski and her bratty children, a disgruntled milkman, a runaway school principal and a retired gypsy fortuneteller, not to mention Fenster Fibb, the tax collector, who scares off some of the travelers simply by showing up! At this rate, it seems that no one will pass the queen’s test! Join the queen and Barcarole as they come to see how actions, not complaints, often get a job done in this playful adaptation. Fun and a snap to produce, this well-known fairytale entertains children of all ages while teaching the importance of helping others.
