HOLIDAY CHEER IN HEARTWARMING TRADITION
A Charlie Brown Christmas

Solana Beach, CA. The Theatre School @ North Coast Rep presents the heartwarming holiday tradition of A Charlie Brown Christmas as its next student production. When Charlie Brown complains about the overwhelming materialism he sees among everyone during the Christmas season, Lucy suggests that he become director of the school Christmas pageant. Charlie Brown accepts, but this proves to be a frustrating endeavor. When an attempt to restore the proper holiday spirit with a forlorn little Christmas tree fails, he needs Linus’ help to discover the real meaning of Christmas. Perfect for all family audiences to help you get into the joy of the season, and create new memories you’ll cherish for a lifetime.
Director, Benjamin Cole, is delighted to share this beautiful story filled with bittersweet characters to a new live audience. Many families may remember viewing the 1965 animated TV special each holiday season. “I look forward to guiding our students in bringing these iconic characters to life, and sharing the positivity Charlie Brown has inspired in generations of families” Cole offers. “What I love best about the Charlie Brown universe is that no matter how down the characters can get with all the pressures of the world around them, they find comfort and hope from each other that gives them the strength to carry on.” The show runs as a comfortable one act with no intermission, and hopes to inspire holiday cheer throughout.

Performances are December 19th – 22nd with show times at 5:30pm Thursday, Friday, & Saturday with 11:00am Saturday and 2pm Sunday. Ticket prices are regularly $16.00 for adults and $12.00 for seniors 65 and older, children under age 17, and active military.
