Learn how to tumble, roll, slap, punch, and duel with a sword (not metal – plastic or wood). This course also explores hand to hand combat, and flat out physical comedy, all while using safe staging techniques. While performing, one should never be injured or do anything that is unsafe. Learn how to
make it appear as though you are under duress while you have complete control over your body and its movements. This class is designed to teach actors objectivity and how to use the practical techniques of stage violence to tell an interesting and compelling story. (plus, it’s a lot of fun!)

This hands-on workshop will explore the behind the scenes look at the theatre world. In introductory terms, we learn what a lighting plot does. How does the sound work? How are costumes made? What does a stage manager do? This one-day interactive course is taught at the theatre. Perfect for actors and non-actors alike.
